The testing isn't complete yet, but from the data collected so far, it seems the CPU core might be faulty. The memory locations are inconsistent, yet the same core keeps showing errors. Could you verify or share an alternative explanation based on these findings? I'm new to memtest86 results and unsure how to decode them.

Note: Added slight rephrasing for clarity while keeping meaning intact.

Are there any issues in the BIOS? After detecting one error, stop the test and retry memory settings—don’t wait for further problems.

BIOS is current. While fixing issues, I adjusted timing settings. Now it's using standard speeds without XMP or PBO. The RAM performance is already reduced.

Have you verified compatibility between your RAM and motherboard? Ensure the RAM fits in the correct slots (usually second and fourth from the CPU). If problems persist after checking multiple sticks, the CPU might be faulty. Refer to the response for more details.

I don’t have any additional RAM ready to test. They’re positioned in slots 2 and 4 as intended.

Use one stick at a time, then switch to the other.

I checked those modules and the closest match was a kit F4-3600C18 D-32GTZN. I'm unsure if the extra D indicates a dual setup versus separate parts. It's an SPD 2133, so 2666 isn't assured to fit. Try loading RAM at 2133 XMP off, reset defaults, and avoid touching the RAM. If errors persist, your core idea might be correct. Otherwise, the RAM configuration is likely the issue.

It's a dual kit with two 32GB modules. I refreshed the default settings, but XMP wasn't activated again, and the temperature stayed at 2666°C. I'm unsure if the issue is with the board or something else. It's the MSI MEG X570 Unify.

It might differ from what you found online. You could attempt disabling XMP, setting it to 2133, and check for errors. I've noticed some reports of higher-speed RAM supporting faster PCIe but not 2666 directly. The goal is to place the RAM in a secure location so we can determine if the issue lies with the CPU or the RAM itself. If needed, we can explore testing single sticks later.

I located it on G.Skill's site. F4-3600C18D-64GTZN - Details from G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd. (gskill.com). It confirms SPD at 2666. Recent test results: I performed a check on one stick at 2133 during sleep and it succeeded. I'm now repeating the same procedure on the other stick with slot #2 to control variables.
