I58600k was upgraded to 5 ghz at 1.37 volts on a Z370P D3 board. Temperatures peaked near 90°C but stayed around 40°C under idle. Issues included constant microstutters, slow video playback (1.2s per second), frequent freezes, random crashes, and long boot times—sometimes minutes or longer. Webpages loaded slowly (up to 10 seconds). Games ran but stuttered with audio glitches and occasional shutdowns. All components checked: temps, RAM, PSU, storage, cooler, GPU. It seems the problem lies with the motherboard rather than the CPU. Drives were reformatted and Windows reinstalled to rule out software causes.

Consider running diagnostics under default settings first. Adjust only your memory profile and test the rest of the rig with defaults (disable CPU and GPU overclocks). Then reverse the changes: keep memory at defaults and check if CPU overclocking improves performance. Finally, merge both configurations and observe how performance changes. Identify the points where issues improve and where they worsen.

It seems the issue wasn’t originally original content, which likely caused the CPU to fail. RAM operates at 2400 and the GPU isn’t modified, while the CPU runs at its default speed. The BIOS was recently reset.

Are you checking if the 2400mhz setting matches the rated speed, or did you adjust it from the default 2133mhz to 2400?
