Attempted to boost memory speed but system failed to load or start. Restored BIOS settings. Computer eventually booted but displayed blue error screens shortly after. Hardware details: Intel Core i5 9th gen, 16GB RAM, 4600MHz, Vengeance RGB graphics, MSI Z390 MEG ACE.
The blue screen indicates a "stop code." Be sure to look at the specific location, as different Windows versions may display the error differently.
Thanks for your update. My RAM was set to a base speed of 2667, which is too slow for a CPU that typically runs around 4.3 GHz. Adjusting it to the XMP profile wouldn't help. Over time, the BIOS would indicate an OC failure and prevent restoring previous settings or defaults. I ended up setting the RAM to 4500 MHz (the maximum supported by my motherboard) and adjusting the voltage to 1.450V. The system wouldn't boot or display properly. Debugging revealed a stuck code at line 24, which wasn’t listed in the manual. I reset the BIOS by removing the battery temporarily, which restored defaults and allowed the OS to boot. However, the OS is now unstable, frequently showing blue screens before login. This has been an ongoing issue with my computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The memory controller isn't reaching 4600mhz on this setup. Start with 4000mhz. Adjust other parameters like Vccio and Vccia manually. For those two settings, use 1.1 to 1.2 volts. Keep the memory voltage at XMP levels—either 1.4 or 1.45v—but don't exceed 1.2v. Make sure the voltage matches the XMP request. This kit and IMC are demanding high performance.
It seems you were taken advantage of, but your system keeps crashing despite the memory being reset to default. The processor speed is currently 2667MHz.
