your setup allows direct access when using the shared IP from your main PC. for private access via web browsers, you’ll need to configure a secure method such as a VPN or a proxy service that routes traffic through an encrypted tunnel. this way, only authorized devices can reach the shared files without exposing them publicly. let me know if you’d like step-by-step instructions!

For that, you need to set up an HTTP server. The simplest way is using Fenix, likely. However, it doesn’t display your Windows shared files. You’ll have to create separate shared directories.

I had to search a little, but this FTP site could be simpler to configure and seems to match your needs. https://filezilla-project.org

Check if the command works by creating a map drive and entering it in the browser. If Z is the drive letter, use file:///z/.

Only local drives support this feature; maybe you could use a shared folder as a network drive in Windows instead? I attempted that but it didn’t work. Edited December 7, 2020 by cole0622
