I recently switched from a mediocre USB 2.0 Wi-Fi adapter to the TP-link Archer T6E. Previously, my ping was around 200 during games. Now it’s about 240 with the Archer T6E. I’m using Windows in performance mode, drivers are installed, yet the ping keeps worsening. Noticing something unusual, speed tests showed both download/upload and ping improving dramatically, then dropping sharply afterward. It seems like the device is intentionally highlighting its capabilities. This isn’t related to my router or ISP—when I play on my laptop using the same 5GHz network, speeds are 40-60 Mbps. I’m unsure what to do and have checked everything. Please let me know your specs: CPU AMD FX 6100 (OC), GPU AMD RX 580, RAM 16GB mixed DDR3, networking TP-LINK Archer T6E, sound Diamond HD, audio card unspecified.
