Hello, I'll explain briefly the issue. Basically, I've got 8GB of 1600Mhz Corsair XMS3 RAM installed in my system. The issue, my Memory usage is always above 40% and frequently sits at 50% whilst the system is idle. I've looked into whats using memory but things don't seem to add up. As shown in the images below, my user is only occupying just over 1GB of RAM, so where is the other 3GB being used? If anybody knows troubleshooting options or has any suggestions, please comment and I'll try my best to perform them and reply! Thanks!
It doesn’t seem Chrome is the main issue. I’ve used Chrome since my PC was installed, and this has only started happening recently. I’m wondering if Windows might be the cause.
Review this article. I encountered a leak where the total process steps didn't align with the reported RAM usage. I described how I discovered the issue. It's not complicated but it doesn’t take much effort... Poolmon.exe will show more details than the task manager. When sorted by bytes consumed, you can identify the problematic process or driver.
