I've checked both ATT and Comcast; their speeds are decent for downloads but lack strong upload options. Are there any plans or providers offering solid upload speeds, perhaps gigabit or near it?

You'll only find this option through a fiber internet provider. AT&T offers fiber in certain locations, while Comcast provides Metro Ethernet, which is quite costly. Installation costs around $1000, with monthly fees starting at $299 and lasting up to three years. If you're interested, it's called Gigabit Pro. It delivers 2 Gbps symmetrical speeds. You need to be within a third of a mile of Comcast's fiber network to access it. Thanks to their Node+0 upgrades, it's now more accessible.
