I haven't changed my motherboard BIOS recently, and I'm curious about updating the X570 chrosshair 8 hero. Should I update one version at a time or go straight for the latest? Earlier updates spread rumors that jumping to the newest might damage the board. When I updated after several versions, one version caused boot issues, but ASUS USB BIOS Flashback resolved it with the newer BIOS I installed most recently.

You can directly go to the newest release unless the update explicitly restricts it. I haven’t encountered any such restriction before.
