MOBO: B450 AORUS M RAM are 2x8 modules, possibly Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz. It seems I experience frequent BSODs when XMP is enabled, especially during gaming or heavy RAM usage. After turning it off, the RAM reverted to 2133MHz, which seems stable so far. What steps can I take to restore full 3000MHz performance?

You can access BIOS settings to adjust RAM speed manually. Make sure your RAM is configured for 1.35V, as incorrect voltage can lead to blue screens. Since you're unfamiliar with Gigabyte's BIOS interface, look through the menu options carefully to find the right settings.

Your CPU is the key factor, more significant than the motherboard since the Memory Controller is situated there.

XMP was already adjusting to 1.35V, so that likely isn't the issue. On my setup, XMP was setting it to 1.25V where problems began. Changing it manually to 1.35V resolved the problems for me.

You might attempt to configure RAM at 1.375v, which can sometimes resolve issues with low-quality memory.

Is this the AF model? AMD released a new version of the 1600 last year, possibly disguised as a 2600. It had AF in its model number for distinction. If it isn’t the AF version, then running at 3000MHz might be problematic since early Ryzen chips struggled above 2933MHz. You could try enabling XMP/DOCP and manually set the frequency to 2933MHz.

Check my profile - I have the same motherboard and CPU (1600AE). The board isn't particularly great, and the IMC on the 1600 isn't either. I managed to get 3200mhz running, though it required some adjustments. It seems you might need to update the BIOS to the latest version, raise the DRAM voltage to 1.4v, boost the SoC voltage to 1.1v or higher (but not above 1.2v), and possibly lower the clock to around 2933mhz while making those changes.

Turn it off. The difference in performance is so small it gets lost in the background noise.
