I've heard a lot about optimization problems. Has it been fixed yet, or should you go with version 9?

Consider waiting until the summer sale or if you spot it for $25, then purchase it. I use it rarely but it worked out okay (about two weeks after release).

Only a handful of well-known titles get an optimized release, and even then they tend to be expensive.

I enjoy MKX, even though the PC edition is almost identical to the console version. There have been no optimization issues, though my setup is quite powerful for a console title.

It's a title that makes sense for purchase during discounts. Beyond enhanced visuals, it doesn't offer much advantage over Mortal Combat 9. The gameplay is enjoyable but the narrative feels quite shallow, with a repetitive "fighting game" vibe. The death scenes are impressive, though some might find them excessive. Overall, hold off on buying it just yet—this was my only pre-order at the time.
