I've experienced some unusual issues with my monitor recently. Every time I power on my PC, the display appears to malfunction. However, when I gently touch the side of the screen, it gradually recovers and returns to normal after a short while. I'm curious if this problem can be fixed or if the monitor is permanently damaged. Thank you for your help!

Disconnect the monitor, press the power button, and remove the back plate. Ensure all connectors are properly seated without touching any components near the power source. The issue might stem from a partially detached display ribbon or a damaged ribbon. If reattaching doesn’t resolve the problem, search for the exact ribbon on eBay—it could be inexpensive enough to try. Alternatively, the panel may be failing, so replacing it entirely might be the best option.
