Hey everyone, are these readings normal or am I experiencing something unusual? I've been using my new system for a few months and noticed the CPU temps are quite high. I'm monitoring with several tools—HWMonitor, openhardwaremonitorm, OCCT, Ryzen Master. Everything in BIOS is default, except for XMP profiles which let my RAM hit 3200MHz. No need to underclock or undervolt unless required. When idle, temps stay below 60°C, but in games they rise gradually to around +90°C. OCCT shows it reaching 94°C in under a minute. The fan spins at its maximum speed (1900 RPM) and runs quietly despite this. Room temperature is about 20°C, GPU stays cool at ~40°C idle and ~60°C under load. I replaced the cooler, but it didn’t help much. The stock Wraith Stealth cooler stopped working after installation. Thermal paste seems properly applied, so that shouldn't be the issue. (refer to photos) Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Gigabyte B450, AORUS PRO WIFI (Mini-itx), Corsair Vengeance LPX (CMK16GX4M2D3200C16)

Based on what I've seen, those temperatures are pretty typical for a stock cooler. You'll need an aftermarket unit if you're bothered by them, since the max is around 95°C. For idle temps, it's normal for the stock but reaching 90°C while gaming is unusual—only stress tests on stock usually hit 80°C. How does that sound to you?

It looks like everything is operating as expected. Your CPU shouldn’t be overheating, so check the cooling case and airflow around it.

Hwinfo64 provides details about system performance and hardware status. For Airflow, it helps monitor operational metrics. When checking the side panel, you can view temperature readings.

It's too warm, even for the stock cooler. Verify the fan is connected and adjust its speed settings in your BIOS.

The fan speed details really clarify a lot. My numbers were around 2800 rpm, and I didn’t face any issues maintaining temperature stability.

Connected and spinning around 1800 rpm (always max). Yep, hit over 90 during Doom and Minecraft sessions. Airflow looks decent. I have a Fractal Define R3 with two intakes and one exhaust at the back. Since my GPU temps are more than 20 degrees lower, it probably isn’t the temperature issue. If everything’s normal, that’s fine. But the temperatures under load are a bit concerning. Same readings. Fractal Define R3, 2 in, 1 out, with and without panels.

This section indicates insufficient contact. A proper connection would create a fine pattern, the reverse of what is shown here.

I believe the issue might be related to the fan speed being limited somewhere in the system. The motherboard curve tool and BIOS indicate this is the upper limit, but reviews suggest similar caps around 2700 or 1900 RPM. It seems your fan model could be among the newer ones with such restrictions.

tbh i think something i wrong with our setup i live in an ambient temperature of 30-35 and my 3600 is running on stock cooler. and the max temp when running cinbench r20 reached 80 degrees C. i do not use some great case.
