Hey! I see you're looking to upgrade your storage in a heavily modded Skyrim setup. Since you're using Vortex Mod Manager and nexusmods, you have flexibility with how you handle mods and files. To avoid reinstalling everything or dealing with installation conflicts, you can:

- Use a dedicated folder for your 2TB M.2 SSD and copy all mod files there.
- Keep your mods organized in a separate directory, then move them to the SSD folder when updating.
- Consider using a mod manager that supports hardware changes, like Vortex or Mod Manager Plus.
- If you're comfortable with manual steps, back up your current mods and install them on the new SSD before updating.

This way, you maintain control over your mods and hardware during the upgrade process. Let me know if you need help with specific steps!

Use the built-in cloning tool provided by the SSD manufacturer or install compatible software to duplicate it.

@Kinda Bottlenecked recommended Macrium Reflect Home or Aomei Partition Assistant for cloning purposes.

It's mainly about Skyrim (you can't play mods without the game). Shifted to PC gaming.

However, I feel compelled to duplicate Windows too, since a clean install of Windows 11 would be ideal.

Ensure the destination drive or filesystem matches your Windows setup for a complete clone. If you only need to save your mods, consider using Nexus Mods and Vortex to create a mod collection. This feature lets you share or replicate your exact mod set across devices. It’s useful for maintaining consistency on multiple computers or transferring collections like Fallout 4, Skyrim, and RDR2.

Clone it. there's no reason to reinstall windows just because you got a new drive. still rocking my original install from 2017. ^from the source itself, reinstalling windows isn't necessary in general, its just like a placebo thing people like doing for some reason

I decided to try this. For offsite mods, you can reference external mod sites. For those accessible via login platforms, I used Dropbox for personal purposes Tongue!
