Temporary files aren't essential data. Deleting the Skype folder won't work because other programs are still active. Linux clears its temporary directory every restart, which is frustrating compared to Windows' behavior.

They won’t let you delete certain items like temp, %temp%, and prefetch. These folders hold temporary files that you can clear manually. There’s no built-in feature to automatically remove them, but you could set up a scheduled task or use third-party tools to handle this.

The simplest approach could involve creating a batch file to remove all contents of the temporary directory and relocate them to the Windows startup folder.

It's accurate. I'd appreciate if Microsoft provided a simple toggle option, but I believe I already have a script available that handles this.

The quickest method to clear disk space is to right-click the desired drive and choose Properties. Within the Properties window, pick Disk Cleanup. Next, choose Cleanup System Files and review the options. Let me know if you need further assistance.

They should simply clear the %temp% directory every time the system restarts, similar to how Linux handles it. That would be a straightforward approach.

I'm here to assist you with that. <_< Using CCleaner, you can remove obosolete registry entries and temporary files effectively. It's a useful tool for maintaining system performance.
