Hey everyone, just got a fresh build with the listed specs and everything was running smoothly during gameplay. During a session of Grounded, I suddenly hit a black screen—all fans spinning, GPU and RAM active but the debug light stayed red. I checked the battery and it read only 3.05 volts. I’m planning to flash the BIOS again (had to do that last month when assembling). It seems like something might be wrong with the CPU shipment—I think it could be a faulty one. Anyone else experienced this issue? Any tips would be super helpful!
No noticeable events occurred. The computer remained still, with no movement or issues at all. It’s strange since I was playing Warzone, changed to grounded mode, and then everything stopped suddenly. Weather conditions stayed typical.
Yes, you can start the PC in Windows by booting from a USB drive or CD.
No problema. Pantalla negra. Inicia para alimentar GPU, RAM y ventiladores, pero no aparece pantalla de medios. La luz roja se enciende inmediatamente en la placa base.
Hey there @AHeavySheet, I checked online and found some useful info from forums. It seems the fix might be simple—just updating the BIOS. If that doesn’t work, it could mean your CPU is faulty. I think since you haven’t updated the BIOS before, I’d suggest using an internet update inside your motherboard’s BIOS (for MSI or ASUS boards). Otherwise, based on my experience, you can manually download the update from the manufacturer’s site and install it via a USB drive. Good luck, and let me know what you find! P.S. It’s unclear if you can access the BIOS right now—please clarify.
Thanks! I'll look into it once I'm back from work tomorrow. Updated the bio after getting the 13th Gen since the chip was set for the 12th. I'm hoping it's just a minor bios update issue and reuploading will fix it. Not enjoying the idea of replacing it only to change the bio, haha.
It's really unsettling with the latest BIOS updates. I remember owning an MSI motherboard before—frequent failures forced me to return it multiple times just to get a new chip. Just remember not to press the power button until the system boots back in, or the OS loads, especially if you see a long black screen.
