Hello! Three days back my Ryzen 5 3600 failed to start Windows despite working fine before. I can still access BIOS at higher temperatures, but Windows keeps looping back on restart. I moved it from an AMD Athlon 3000G and think the issue might be with the CPU or power supply. I noted a bent pin was present but fixed it easily. Switching to Athlon resolves the problem. Specs: CPU – Ryzen 5 3600, cooler – id-cooling SE-213v2, motherboard – A320M-S2H, RAM – 8GB DDR4 2666MHz, SSD/HDD – 250GB, GPU – RX550 2GB (planned upgrade), PSU – 550W RPC 55000AB (model PWPS-055000A-BU01A).
For a better PSU, the RX580 is a solid choice under $65. OS: Windows 10, Monitor: ASUS THANK YOU!
It seems the problem might stem from a damaged Windows setup instead of hardware faults. Have we tried running a Windows repair? Would starting in safe mode help? Also, the links provided aren’t working.
I wasn't able to access any window menu initially. Only the Windows icon would show up then it would restart repeatedly. After installing with my Athlon, switching CPUs still caused it to reboot like before.
