I accept your explanation. Now I see the issue clearly—only the third generation is listed, not the fifth. I couldn't locate it on Asus's site either. I’m hoping it will work out of the box since I can't afford a third-gen Ryzen or flash the BIOS. I don’t have any funds left, and local stores don’t offer BIOS updates.
Well then, why don't they want to flash the BIOS directly on the store? That's pretty odd not having any test chips nearby to at least boot the board. But yes, if it didn't work because of an outdated BIOS, you could ask AMD directly.

You should have checked the second column of that QVL list—it indicates the support begins with the bios version P1.20. If the board came with an older version, the situation is resolved and you should update it.
Are you replacing the CPU yet, or do you have this MOBO? The B550 works with Zen 3, but most boards need a BIOS upgrade to a compatible Zen, Zen+, or Zen 2 processor, which is common across many boards.
They bypassed the 4xxx range, so would that classify 5xxx as the fourth generation?
