Task manager is displaying incorrect RAM figures despite having 24 GB of RAM. The processes tab shows accurate values, but the detailed view doesn't match. No changes needed to Windows since it previously showed correct numbers. Sorting memory options aren't reflecting the expected order. The issue might be related to a recent update or system configuration change.

The screenshot displays the active working set, while image 5 presents the private working memory configuration. It seems these might differ depending on your system. You can right-click the column headers to reveal or hide various categories, or use the Option/View toolbar menu for this. Image 3 indicates increased memory consumption, as the total usage incorporates 8Gb of cache—likely managed by Superfetch. The cached data will be released when other applications require it.

The choice of memory format remains irrelevant.

Review the feedback. It was marked closed for appearing similar to a question on Super User. You may want to verify if that’s the real problem. The note suggests the issue might stem from unclear wording or lack of context, as simply stating “x is wrong” doesn’t provide enough reasoning or expected outcome.

It was completed 30 minutes ago; it was finalized since it was initially confusing. Which values should we use? I determined them. The comma must represent the decimal point.

Open Start, look for "Control Panel". Select "Change date, time or number formats" beneath Clock and Region. Tap "Additional settings…". Verify that "Decimal symbol" differs from "Digit grouping symbol", ensuring they aren't both marked as a period or comma. Spoiler
