You mentioned having a dual-core processor, specifically the Pentium G4400, and are testing it on Far Cry 4. Unfortunately, most advice I've seen seems outdated and ineffective. I'm planning to upgrade my CPU soon, but probably not within the next few months since I'm currently in a tight financial situation. If anyone can suggest a better approach or alternative, that would be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe it will work at all. You might try making Windows think you have four CPUs, but I doubt it would actually help and could cause more problems.

It actually performs well with a standard dual-core processor. The issue lies mainly in the workaround requiring a pirated copy of Far Cry 4.

far cry won’t run smoothly with just four threads. If his CPU had a dual-core design, it might function, but the issues suggest a two-core, two-thread setup is more likely.

It functions on 2c/2t, yet editing the game files is limited to pirated or cracked versions, as I mentioned.
