You're right about the 5950x's standard TDP being 105W, yet you're observing higher draw around 125W in your current configuration.

On the stock, the 5900X and 5950X can reach up to 142W under full load. For lower usage periods, high temperatures are typically measured by Tdie. If you're checking Tdie, that indicates a hot area, so boosting one core individually can raise the reading even when others are idle. When power is present—common in low-load scenarios—Ryzen increases voltage to deliver more power, resulting in higher Tdie values for lighter loads than heavier ones, since the voltage rises and heat concentrates on fewer cores instead of being shared evenly.
