Check remaining motherboard lights even after BIOS and AURA adjustments when not powered off.
1) The orange LED on the motherboard stays lit even when power is off, which could damage your PSU and computer over time. Would cutting that plug out help? 2) The Ethernet cable has a blinking orange light that’s more bothersome. There’s a video discussing turning off all motherboard lights at shutdown, but it focuses on an ErP solution. A Corsair RM850X might meet ErP standards, but it’s unclear if it would resolve this. Any advice would be appreciated.
Yeah, unless you're flipping the PSU switch when the system is running, you're not hurting anything. For your Ethernet issue, there's no fix for that. That's telling you the connection is running at gigabit. You wont be able to disable those LED's. How big is the RBG light on the board? can you just put some electrical tape over it?
It seems your router might have a setting to pause or stop a connected device for a specific duration. This could potentially affect the power supply, turning off the light.
