If you have funds, I'd go with 3D mark; otherwise, heaven benchmark is a good alternative.

For this kind of stability check Aida64 on the CPU and Heaven on the GPU should perform well. The tests I mentioned are mainly for measuring performance gains, though they also act as standard checks over a limited duration.
