I believe Civ IV improved upon V, making several adjustments while resolving issues in VI. Kerbal is incredibly enjoyable when you're building rockets, space planes, and exploring the cosmos—you can take it seriously or just dive into a sandbox to design the most absurd rockets, sending you hurtling toward the sun.
Borderlands 2 stands out as the clear victor. This isn't open to debate.
Borderlands 2 is decent, though it doesn't quite justify its price.
The majority of fans consider the game decent, though it offered only minor updates such as low gravity, oxygen, and ice weapons. It seemed like a rushed release. The price drops often make it tempting to try multiple expansions before committing to the prequel. Personally, I played it after understanding its nature since I'm a dedicated series fan. My main issues were the slow start with too much idle time. This has been a recurring problem in the series, but it's worse in the prequel. I didn't enjoy any of the classes, though this is subjective—some might prefer them. One thing I appreciated was the ability to upgrade vending machines (though not a major factor since bosses still provide the best rewards). The first two expansions lacked crafting, but the prequel added pseudo-crafting. I didn’t get much involved with it and think it wasn’t worth the effort.
