Looking to maximize that $10 discount. The game needs to be available on the Epic Games Store at $14.99 or higher for the coupon to work. It should either be an exclusive for Epic (like Control or Journey) or a heavily discounted title such as 50% off. I'm eager to hear suggestions on what to play. Previously, I was thinking about Telltale Batman or one of the Quantic Dream titles, but my notes weren't specific enough and ended up with a wide range of recommendations. Right now, my favorite pick is Control!
Confirming control is set. Metro Exodus? Not sure if it's available on the Steam store now. Also, using the coupon gives you another one. It's similar to getting another 10 off each time you buy—since you already used a 10 off, it's more like regular discount plus an extra $10 off every purchase, so you don't really need to keep the coupon as the last one.
Personally, steam is my top choice and I stick to it only. Besides games that need activation on different platforms (like GTA or Uplay), I don’t use anything else. For everything else, control seems to be the best option—RTX stands out with a solid story, good gunplay, and even some psychological elements. I don’t see any major downsides either. Plus, Epic has a refund option worth checking out; give it a try and see if you like it.
It's a solid title for players who enjoy construction-based games, similar to Anno or Minecraft.
Control feels overly similar, and the narrative leans heavily on clichés. Metro Exodus stands out as a standout. Though I haven’t tried Detroit Become Human, others praise its quality. Red Dead Redemption 2 delivers impressive depth and variety. GTA5 is priced at 14.99—just like it should be. Nearby titles like Close to the Sun, State of Decay 2, World War Z, the 2nd Ghost Recon, and Predator Hunting Grounds aren’t worth the investment.
. Just note he dedicated almost 20% of the actual video time to it in a top10 video. Says a lot. Comment section does so as well. Moving on... I got Control with DLC (2 separate purchases, both discounted) - out of curiosity, to formulate my own opinion on it. Got Beyond: 2 Souls and Heavy Rain for the very same reason, as I never played those. Metro Exodus is hella good. Check out Hades, might be up your alley - Supergiant Games games have their own, unique vibe
. Jedi: Fallen Order is on historical low with the coupon now. RDR2 is almost as cheap as it was in January on GMG. Subnautica is cheapest since it was free on Epic.
I'll start with something I think might be the best advice: Outer Wilds - it's called GOTY 2019 by some - check out the link, haven't played it myself (yet!) but the guy is VERY convincing. Just be patient with slow pacing in the beggining section of that part of the video
