Purchase and play the core game initially. It's quite affordable during promotions. Once you're satisfied with your preferences, you can choose the desired features for the DLCs.

I just started Stellaris with all the downloadable content. It was my first time playing, and the changes to features, options, and mechanics really caught me off guard. It's a great game overall. Would you mind going slow and giving it a try?

The video explains things clearly. For beginners, it's a big project—best to play through it without changes until you're confident.
