hello everyone, i see many youtube videos about lenus tech tips. he explains things well and shares his thoughts on products. my question is, i don’t have much money, so i use my pc for gaming just like wow and lol, plus a few other games. at first it was an alienware x51, but the adapter card broke, so i swapped it into a case from nztx with power supply and a new graphics card later. i’ll post some pictures soon. now i’m curious about the latest motherboard options for that intel cpu and ddr3 ram. thanks ahead!
You unlikely to discover any new motherboard for the 1155 socket, which is six years old. Are your CPU or RAM intact? If they’re fine, consider a used 7 series or a 6 series chipset board with BIOS support for Ivy Bridge CPUs. Avoid early P67 and H67 models due to past SATA2 port issues. While newer parts might not reflect top build quality, they could still be decent after ten years. Look for better construction within your budget. You don’t have to choose a Z series if your CPU isn’t unlocked. A B series with solid power delivery or cooling offers a balanced mix of performance and cost. If you plan future upgrades, consider an H series board only if it meets quality standards and the price is reasonable.
I can't review the site directly, but based on your needs and budget, consider a mid-range build around 1100 euros. Focus on a powerful CPU like an i7-9700K or similar, paired with a decent GPU for WARZ, LOL, or BRZ. Keep RAM and storage in mind to stay within limits. Let me know if you need more details!
