Check out Nvidia Graphics Drivers
Check out the list of graphics cards using the tool called GPU-Z, then show me the picture it gives you. Also open up Device Manager and check to make sure there isn't a red warning sign on your card. Wait, I meant yellow for that one too? No wait, just keep checking until I see if anything is wrong or not working right now.
Sometimes when I uninstall my graphics card, a program named the 3D Video Controller pops up in Device Manager with an error sign. This only happens after I remove it; if Nvidia software is still on, it doesn't show up at all. When you check GPU-Z, it just lists your Intel GPU instead of showing the one from Nvidia.
Look at whether your laptop needs an update from the BIOS, then use your Service Tag to go to their help site and find out more about it for your specific device.
