Check the packaging for the wireless dongle or adapter and verify if OSX or Mac is listed. If it appears, you're fine. There won't be a full or complete list of all supported adapters, and it's unlikely Apple will provide the drivers.

You might want a third-party wireless card by using a USB Wi-Fi dongle with OS X compatibility, or searching for compatible hackintosh cards (though some extra configuration is needed). Apple Wi-Fi cards aren’t cheap on eBay, especially for a genuine Mac. It’s unclear if Apple officially supports all cards since it’s a closed system, and hackintosh isn’t allowed. Their options are limited, but cards based on their chipset usually work. I hope this helps!
