MSI has just dropped the BIOS updates for Ryzen 5000 on X370. I’m thinking about moving from a 1700 to something like a 5800x soon. I’m curious if it’s possible to upgrade the BIOS on my current chip and replace it later. On MSI’s site, there’s no clear mention of removing support for older CPUs, but the SMU checker files give different info depending on the BIOS version. Anyone know if my 1700 model still works with the newer BIOS?
