Check motherboard functionality without CPU installation
I built my PC today, but without CPU since it didn't come yet and I will probably need to wait week or two for it, since I built it, connected all the cables, put in the GPU RAM fans etc. Is there a way that I could check if its properly put together? If I plug it and turn on the power supply, should it let the fans spinning? Waiting a week is kinda too much since i'm too excited. MOBO in place is Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 This sounds like a silly question, but I guess there is a way to check maybe
When the power supply is turned on and the keyboard is connected via the IO, the keyboard should illuminate if the circuit is functioning correctly.
the keyboard receives just electrical power, producing only responses when powered, its real capabilities might not function properly. alternatively, connecting it to a functional laptop or desktop can help verify its operation.
I anticipate it won’t illuminate since the setup isn’t complete. If the keyboard must establish a connection with the board and run proper software, then an incomplete system should produce unreliable outcomes.
It might work by turning on during shutdown, though I’m not sure if the power comes from the router via the socket. It seems the device can update its BIOS without using the CPU, but I’m hesitant about doing that.
Appropriate, I understand your enthusiasm. Thanks to everyone for the help.
