I've been experimenting with overclocking for about two weeks now, alternating on and off to reset settings. I believe I've finally resolved the issue, as shown in photos from a 20-minute test I conducted twice. My benchmark score came in at 1438. Is that satisfactory?
Do you know about memory OC as well? I'm considering it now and want guidance on setting it up properly.

One concern arises when certain programs launch, causing my temperature to spike to 4(x)c sometimes even 5(x)c from idle 32c. Is this typical? I rely on this PC for recording gameplay, editing videos, and rendering—so a 5.0Ghz is essential for speed. My previous system took 14 hours just to render an hour of video.
I also saw stress test results at 5.0GHz with Vcore set to auto and a +75°C offset; temperatures never exceeded 70°C.

Running for 20 minutes is a solid benchmark. No game should strain your PC too much. Keeping under 1.4v at 5GHz is ideal. Temperatures are rising to around 82°C, but it should be okay unless you're doing intensive rendering. Games won't force the CPU that hard.
Temp jumps largely depend on your fan configurations. Bios might cause fans to spin up at higher temperatures. Minor overclock adjustments are less affected by temperature than voltage changes. Intel’s testing isn’t as sensitive as other bench software. For instance, Prime95 newer releases will force your system to reach 100°C regardless of speed or frequency. That’s why you should stick to Prime95 version 26.6 for Intel CPUs.

Just shut down while writing back. Default settings will restart at 5.0ghz with a 1.335 vcore instead of adaptive. Prime95 reports vcore between 1.363 and 1.381. Yeah I played some heavy cpu games for about 20 minutes each since thats when prime took my temps to the moon. The program does that alot though for most people I hear anyways.
I don't know until I render how heavy it is. I always render to start a series an hour. I use megui to start the render process after editing in sony vegas. I also render to an external drive if that makes a difference.
EDIT: Thank you elbert. I got it done stable as can be at 5.0Ghz under 1.4V. Current running cinebench temps didn't even it over 73c. I don't know if this is a good score but it hit 1075 10 points down over a 6C/12T cpu so I'd imagine that damn good.
Also run at 5.0GHz Vcore at 1.350 Stable for an hour on occt and aida64. I had to pay for it to make sure I just have it for the future tests it is my favorite stress tester. Thanks again for all you're help.
