It's challenging to pinpoint exactly what's needed since other components like the CPU and graphics card also matter, especially when gaming. As mentioned before, 8 GB is generally enough for an average user. The exact requirement varies based on your software and background apps, but it should suffice for basic tasks like an Excel file, watching videos on YouTube, and browsing the web. For a more robust setup, I strongly suggest going with 16 GB if you're planning to upgrade your system.

I prefer options that offer strong performance, so I won’t upgrade this one. As you suggested, a fresh device would be better. Thank you for all the helpful tips! Your advice means a lot. Regarding Minecraft with SEUS, it can be considered a solid gaming experience, especially with a 7-hour daily session on mobile. I plan to start with 8GB and upgrade if needed, possibly going for 16GB later. This seems like a reasonable approach. — DevastatingMYTH (May 4, 2020)

I recently added another 8GB of RAM to my previous setup, not because I needed it urgently but simply because I could. During those 18 months with an 8GB configuration, I would only run out if I deliberately tried to use it heavily. My usage wasn’t that intensive—typically I didn’t need 60 tabs. I play games on one monitor and stream YouTube videos in 1080p on another, while running Winamp, Discord, WhatsApp, and Afterburner simultaneously on the other two monitors. Despite this busy setup, I never ran out of those 8GB of RAM.

Absolutely, I understand. I’ll also have Discord and Slack active. That should be sufficient for what I need. I’m planning to go with 8GB, but I’ll choose a model that supports future upgrades. Thanks for the heads-up! Any additional suggestions would be really helpful.

And regarding the 60 tabs, on mobile I keep around 26 open at a time. I usually switch between just two or sometimes four, rather than going through everything constantly. The remaining tabs are for things I looked up and then set aside to revisit later when I have time or am bored. I managed to hit over 100 tabs and found the counter once, but most of it stayed between 20 and 80.

Think about adding a RAM upgrade just in case you require it later. EDIT: Mobile browser tabs behave differently—tabs aren't displayed even if present in the list. Using another application prevents them from loading. The tab on your PC consumes resources by default. Even when the browser isn't running, it still uses them. Bookmarks are much more practical and efficient compared to mobile browsers.

Sure thing. It seems this should work on Windows 64-bit as well, so I won’t run into the same issues later if I ever need to upgrade again.

Modern PCs today don't need 32-bit architecture when you have less than 4GB of RAM. It adds unnecessary complexity without real benefit.

Ensure stable system performance with sufficient memory and a reliable processor. Consider future upgrades and compatibility with upcoming software releases.
