Your laptop runs DDR3 1066 MHz RAM, which is outdated. Can you upgrade to DDR3 1333 or 1600 MHz? Will it still fit and function properly?

1333 and 1600 rams will retain the 1066 JEDEC design, so it will simply operate at 1066 with 8GB or 16GB options. The used price is quite reasonable—used DDR3 sticks are around 3-4 dollars each, and 8GB units cost about 7 dollars. You could easily upgrade with a budget i3 or i5 dual-core processor for better performance and higher clock speeds.
