Check if your system supports B450 and AMD Ryzen 5 processors.
Hello, welcome to your first build! You're looking at pairing an AMD Ryzen 5 3600x with a B450 gaming carbon AC Mobo. You mentioned wanting a 3600 Trident Z New 3600 at 16-19-19-39 MHz. However, MSI states the maximum supported speed is 3466 MHz. Since your CPU is 14-14-14-34 (3200 MHz), it should work fine with that memory type. There are reports of issues with CL16 RAM on B450 boards, so switching to CL14 might be a safer choice. Your advice is clear—go with the 3600 MHz option unless you encounter problems. Thanks for reaching out!
It should work just fine. The RAM will operate at its maximum speed set by the motherboard, even if it can't reach its rated rate. Damn son. It's about 3600 times cheaper than the original price.
I think the CAS latency of 16 isn't likely to be a big problem, based on what others discussed. Thanks, Mo.
