I'm planning to fly soon and need to bring my PC along. I disassembled it but am unsure if I can leave the CPU in the socket without a cooler on top. The lever is down, and the motherboard is wrapped in bubble wrap, still in its original box. I only have an AIO cooler, so I can't remove it, and I don’t have the CPU case anymore. I’d really like to take the CPU out of the motherboard since I already damaged two Intel boards during installation.
