I purchased a used gaming PC earlier this month to begin exploring PC gaming. It came with an RTX 2070 graphics card with 8GB RAM and an i7 processor boosted to 4.5ghz. Within a few days, games like Spider-Man Remastered, GTA V, and Payday 2 would only launch briefly before crashing and displaying the error message you mentioned. I found online that enabling the Nvidia control panel and choosing "Debug Mode" could fix the problem, but only when Debug Mode is active. Additionally, I’ve noticed frequent stuttering in all games, whether set to Ultra or Low performance, and at any frame rate. Is this related to my GPU, and are there ways to resolve it without replacing the graphics card entirely? Cheers!

I've handled several issues previously. If there are any, let me know!

Updating the drivers and attempting reinstalls has been my approach so far. It seems like there might be more steps to take for troubleshooting. Could you suggest some alternatives I can try next?

If DDU isn't resolving the issue, a defective GPU is likely the primary concern, though power supply problems could also play a role. Assuming the GPU arrived fully assembled, I'd reposition it and connect the power cables (including the PSU side if applicable).

A new driver was released today, which appears to have resolved the error message issue. The stuttering remains unresolved. I picked up the PC from the seller and handled the delivery carefully. I’ll try your advice and hope it fixes the problem; if not, I might consider swapping the GPU as I’ve been considering a 6800 XT. Cheers!
