Can't combine sizes. I have three 2GB drives. An upgrade would be another 2GB stick (if you have four slots) or a 4GB stick and swap the 3x2GB or 2x8GB, replacing the 3x2GB which is already on a slower system you don’t want to further strain by adding just one 8GB stick. You need at least two sticks for dual-channel CPU performance.

05-23-2017, 07:54 AM #8If you purchase this product, the 2x 4GB RAM should be compatible. You could upgrade from the existing 3GB module or attempt to fit both sets into the available slots once installed.
