Hey everyone, I just bought this board for a good deal and added a Corsair 3600Mhz memory setup. It didn’t show up in the QVL for that board, but it’s working well. The XMP 2 profile is active, and my 3DMark scores are a bit better than those from a 3200Mhz kit I borrowed from a friend that’s listed on the QVL. I’m currently using an R5 1600 and plan to upgrade to a new 5000 series CPU next year once the B450 BIOS is released. Some sources suggest avoiding non-QVL memory for Ryzen, but in this case it seems fine. Should I run more tests to catch any hidden performance issues, or can I safely use the 3600MHz kit?
It seems to be a micron e-die, which is suitable for enhancing Ryzen performance.
You're referring to the 3600MHz sticks. It's interesting you're curious about how the setup is performing without it being listed in the QVL. Since I'm not an expert, I hope this helps clarify things.
