Hey there, I hope you're all doing great. I'm reaching out for some advice on a puzzling issue with my PC. Recently, it keeps shutting down unexpectedly—turning off and back on within seconds. After trying several troubleshooting methods, I think the problem might be related to my RAM modules. When I remove one specific stick (let's say RAM A), the system works perfectly without any interruptions. But if I reinsert it, the shutdowns happen again. I've double-checked all connections, cleaned the RAM and slots, and even looked into overheating, but nothing seems to be the case. I'm a bit stuck and would really appreciate any suggestions or additional steps you might recommend. Thanks in advance!

Sure, I can run a Memtest86 on the other stick and even reverse it if needed.

RAM B functions properly with the PC starting in every available slot. In contrast, RAM A prevents any booting across all slots despite attempts. The motherboard model is Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H.

In my opinion, if the issue is limited to RAM A on all slots, the problem likely lies with the stick itself. You probably can't run any software to test it if your PC won't boot with RAM A installed. If you have another PC, you could try installing the stick there and check if it works.

If this applies, your RAM is damaged and you need a replacement. What processor should I use? Please send photos of the RAM modules and the label on the sticker that lists all the specifications (speed, timings, rank configuration, etc.). If the RAM boards are bare with no heat spreader and come from Samsung, Hynix, or Crucial, you can simply purchase another identical model and it will work perfectly regardless of the part number. For lower-end options like Samsung C-DIMM IDs, you can just swap in a better version such as M378A1G43EB1 or HMA41G6AFR8N, gaining performance boosts with a simple setup and overclocking. Pairing it with dual rank 2x8 will make a noticeable difference. Considering the low cost of cheap PCBs (like 2133-2666 series) and the value you’ll get from upgrading, this change is definitely worth it.

I'll attempt to test RAM A on a different machine. I'll keep you informed about the outcome.

Show the image of the Thaiphoon burner. Once the issue is detected, provide the OEM part number that matches the same IC, ensuring compatibility even with XMP because it uses the identical IC.
