You're experiencing a RAM error on your Asus X570 Pro, but the issue seems to be specific to your current setup. The fact that you're using a B550-E as a test bench and having no problems there suggests the problem might lie with the RAM itself or its compatibility with the X570 Pro. It's possible the DIMM slots are faulty or not supporting the correct type of RAM. Consider verifying the RAM model and checking for any known compatibility issues before replacing it.

There are two approaches to this: (1) Review the mobo's QVL (Qualified Vendor List) to confirm if the RAM has been tested on that specific board. If not, it doesn't rule out compatibility, just a lack of guarantee. (2) The best testing method is using MemTest86. (3) Insert one stick of RAM into a slot and check for errors; repeat with other sticks. (4) Add two sticks and test again. (5) Continue this process as needed. (6) No further steps are required.

I attempted versions 3 and 4 without any results. Where can I locate QVL and what is Memtest86? Also, since my 8GB RAM matches the speed, brand, and color in the motherboard, why wouldn’t the 16GB version work? This doesn’t make much sense to me.

The QVL will be included in your motherboard manual. https://www.memtest86.com/ It’s considered the gold standard for memory testing. If the RAM is faulty, it will detect it. Regarding why 8GB functions while 16GB doesn’t, that’s what the QVL addresses—RAM is available in different densities, and possibly 16GB isn’t compatible. https://panoramacircle.com/2018/08/07/hi...xt=Density refers to the memory, less memory each in comparison.
