Based on that, I purchased an 8GBx2 G.Skill Trident Z Neo RGB kit from MicroCenter for $115, assuming it matched Samsung B-Die. My specific model is F4-3600C16D-16GTZNC, and according to the link, it should be Samsung B-Die. However, my BIOS lists Hynix, suggesting I might not have the correct RAM. I can return or exchange it within 14 days. My main concern is whether the $60 price difference for a similar RAM would be justified.

Only manual adjustments are recommended. If you avoid modifying memory frequencies and timings yourself, the Samsung B-die hunt will likely become very expensive. It won't improve speed. The Hynix option seems uncertain because it relies on the SPD profile, which remains consistent even if different dies are used. As long as the timing is correct, the XMP profile stays unchanged. The Samsung B-die isn't reliable either—it offers tighter timing but isn't worth the effort for most users.
