PC is off and won't restart. No electricity detected. I repeated the paper clip test on the 4th and 5th pins with the clip facing up, but it didn’t power up—no fan activity either. Tried various sockets and power strips without success. This suggests the power supply might be faulty. I tested another computer’s main cable and it worked. I didn’t use a different PSU since I don’t have one. Testing the motherboard isn’t possible without power. If I replace the PSU, what alternatives are similar to the MSI model? Assuming it’s dead, I thought these should last longer than a year. The main things to check for other PSUs are wattage and case fit—like the Phantext XT Pro. CPU cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB 66.17 CFM. Storage: Silicon Power UD902TB 4.0 SSD NVMe 4.0 Gen3 PCIe M.2 SSD GPU. GPU: Zotac GAMING Trinity GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB Video. Power supply: MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 W 80+ Gold Certified, fully modular ATX. CPU: Ryzen 7800X3D. RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 Series DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) at 6000MT/s. Mobo: Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX v2.

I performed it using just the PSU, without attaching a motherboard, because that was the final setup I had for the paperclip in the 4 and 5 pin slots when flipping it upside down.

Consider switching to another power supply unit or test the current one with a dedicated tester. It's covered by warranty at least.

Unfortunately, I don’t have another power supply unit. This is my first build, so I’m limited to these parts. I didn’t test it because I couldn’t. Does that mean the issue is with the PSU?

It seems you're looking for a PSU tester. You might find one affordable on Amazon or other retailers. If you manage to get it within a couple of days, it could be a good investment for diagnostics and similar tasks.

The monitor is connected and emits a yellow light. After connecting it to the HDMI port on the motherboard, it activates as if it senses something, though nothing appears visible. Initially, it shows a no signal and blue illumination when plugged in, then turns off again to yellow. Does this make sense?

This suggests you're attempting to use the system with a potentially problematic power supply. When you detach the GPU and attempt to boot using the built-in graphics, it may indicate issues with the PSU or overall system stability.
