Use it in another system as a secondary drive instead of a boot drive. This allows you to transfer the data afterward.

I understand that might be a possibility, but I’m attempting this because my current setup isn’t functioning. The desktop hard drive failed and there’s a memory problem on the laptop. That’s why I’m checking if I can start from the SSD on the desktop.
