I noticed the ASUS GPU running DDR5 with a PCIe 3.0 interface, while the motherboard supports DDR3. I wasn't sure if it would have sufficient power, though the slot is available for installation. I'm just starting to upgrade my system.

DDR and GDDR are different technologies. DDR refers to the type of memory slots on your motherboard, while GDDR is the specific version used by your graphics card. The graphics card has its own GDDR module soldered in place. The power supply only provides 75W through the slot; the remaining power is delivered via PCIe cables from the PSU to the card.
