My motherboard supports HDMI 2.1 while my monitor uses HDMI 1.4
In my understanding, the system supports backward compatibility though it has constraints based on the weakest component. It should function, but advanced features won't be accessible if you're using a version older than 1.4.
You're unable to utilize the video ports on the monitor unless you've located a seller offering a 4000 series APU on eBay. I'm still unsure about the explicit compatibility details. Additionally, 3000 series APUs such as the 3400G won't function on a B550 board, which means the HDMI ports won't work either.
With a specialized graphics card, the HDMI on your motherboard won’t work. Simply connect the monitor cable to the graphics card.
