The front bays connect to the raid card, not SATA on the board. To configure drives or adjust settings, use the raid card boot utility. What raid card is installed on the server? I’ll avoid those QVO drives here—they’re not very affordable and perform poorly under load.

Did you set up a raid array in the raid controllers menu? Without it, no drives will appear in the OS unless you create a raid array. Only the virtual disks you build in the OS will show up. The AHCI issue isn't relevant here.
