Hi everyone, I just bought new PC components and think I might have misordered the RAM modules. After assembling everything, I can’t boot into BIOS. When I turn on the system with a red light on, the motherboard shows CPU and my monitor stays dark. I checked the Gigabyte vendor list for my B650M Aorus Elite AX DDR5 RAM and realized it doesn’t list the RAM I purchased. Before heading to the store for replacements, I was hoping someone could confirm if this is why the boot fails.

Did you change the BIOS to match the Ryzen 9000? The board may still use an older BIOS version that doesn’t support this processor. That might explain the red indicator on the CPU.

All AM5 boards include bios flashback features, so just adhere to the guidelines and you’ll be fine. This slow performance is acceptable; 6000C32/30 should keep things running until the end of the DDR5 era, especially since Hynix dies can exceed 9000.

I’ve gone through the instructions for updating the BIOS via a USB drive and using Q-Flash Plus. From what I understand, the tool appears to be functioning (USB activity is flashing, and the LED on the motherboard lights up for about five minutes), but it doesn’t seem to resolve the issue.

The 6000C32/30 is still the same die regardless of price.
