Hello everyone, my laptop comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 7530U. The CPU fan keeps spinning most of the time and only occasionally slows down briefly. Its base speed is 2.0GHz, but from Task Manager I see it often running above that (typically 2.3 - 2.7 - 3.0). Even when the PC is idle, it stays at 0.7 - 0.8GHz, unlike my old Intel 12th gen laptop which stayed around 0.7 - 0.8GHz during idle. I haven’t noticed the AMD CPU dropping below its base speed. Is this normal? Thanks!

I noticed this on my friend's computer. It might be due to Windows 11's power settings or the BIOS having the fan always running. Try disconnecting the laptop, changing the power plan to "Best battery," and observe the changes over time.

Consider using HWINFO64 or similar tools to monitor CPU temperatures. Keep in mind that laptops typically have less cooling than desktops, which might mean you should keep the fan running. If your CPU temperatures are low, it’s likely the fan is always on, as noted in a previous discussion.

It looks like your BIOS shows 93C, but you're expecting a different value. The temperature didn't drop as expected after the wait.
