Previously, I noticed a bright vertical green line on my iPhone 13 mini. It would appear and disappear several times. Eventually, a faint green line remained consistently. This was somewhat bothersome but not too much. Recently, the top-right corner of my phone would suddenly change to green every now and then, shifting from normal color to green. More recently, a full green screen appeared on the screen, sometimes flashing before staying green. This made it difficult to interact with the device. Eventually, the green appearance faded, though I still see a light vertical green line. I’m wondering if replacing the screen is necessary and whether it’s worth contacting Apple for repair. What are the costs and timelines? I found a site called iFixit that sells replacement screens and has tools, but would it be better to buy the part and take it to a repair shop instead? Or would that be more expensive than having Apple fix it?

You definitely need a new screen, and there are unofficial options available, though some features may not function properly.

Visit an apple shop to get the explanation and check the price. A third-party repair service might not be advisable. The iPhone 13 mini features an LED display, so using unofficial screens could be problematic.
