I'm on Newegg but can't locate any LGA 1155 motherboards for PC builders.

You'll need to check the second-hand market.

You already own a motherboard, so this project would be a cost-effective option. However, the CPU in question isn't particularly powerful compared to unlocked models from that era or the second generation. It doesn’t stand out even when prices are considered, since you might find a similar HyperThreaded Xeon at the same price. If you're fixing a computer for someone and want to minimize expenses, opt for a Panther Point (H/B/Z 70s chipset) board rather than the older (H/B/P/Z 60s) one. If you don’t have a compatible second-generation CPU, avoid most OEM boards—they could have unusual power connections or BIOS limitations that prevent support for third-gen CPUs if the original motherboard included one.

I reached out since I purchased a Dell OptiPlex 7010 SFF and needed to change cases and add a graphics card. As I dug deeper, I discovered switching internal components wouldn’t work easily—I’d likely need a completely new build because most parts aren’t compatible outside their original setup. That led me to opt for a low-profile GTX 1650, which experts say will improve gaming performance and fit well in the compact PC I already own. Thanks for the helpful advice!

This approach makes sense because adding more details helps provide a relevant suggestion. Many of us might have preferences for certain brands or tech, but most aim to offer solid guidance within the situation you're facing or planning to adopt.
